Having played the Titleist 975D driver over the years I have waited in anticipation for the fairway wood. The 975D driver has been the best thing to ever happen to me in terms of accuracy and distance. I have however long awaited a 3 wood to offer those desirable benefits.
You need to look down at a wood and have it fill you with confidence, the new 975F fairway wood does just that. Not only that it performs like a fairway wood should – its initial trajectory high but with desirable distance giving control upon landing.
- clean, classic pear-shaped profile in the playing position
- internal weighting biased lower for increased ball speed, higher launch angle and solid feel from the fairway
- combination of size and weighting for flatter, more penetrating ball flight
- high performance crowned sole for playability from all types of lies
Cast from stainless steel, the 975F Fairway Metal adopts the traditional appearance and tour-proven performance standards of the Titleist Titanium 975D driver. The 975F features a pear-like profile for a traditional appearance in the playing position.
My recommendation is to combine the 975D driver with the new 975F fairway wood if you are serious about enjoying your golf.
